University Hospital Negotiations Update – November 25, 2014

We held our second negotiations session for a successor contract on November 24, 2014. University Hospital responded to most of the proposals that we submitted at the first session, which was held on September 4, 2014. Although no agreements were reached, there was progress in a few areas, specifically with our proposed job security language.

HPAE presented proposals that would address many of the staffing concerns identified by our membership, however, we did not engage in a discussion about those issues in this session. On the other hand, there was a brief discussion related to the classification of full-time employees in an effort to rectify the existing problems for .9 members.

We have not yet presented proposals on general wage increases and a number of other key contract sections.
