Super PAC raised $11M to support Christie
From The Record, July 31, 2015
A contribution of $1 million came from a company connected to a billionaire who wants to build a casino in Jersey City, while checks of $250,000 each came from the owners of the state’s biggest power utility and a for-profit hospital in Secaucus that has had frequent run-ins with state health officials.
The contributions highlight the more than $11 million raised between February and June by a super PAC supporting Governor Christie’s bid to be president, according to a disclosure report filed Friday….
America Leads also reported a $250,000 contribution from Complete Medical Project Management LLC of Park Ridge, which legal documents show is the for-profit company that bought Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center in Secaucus five years ago. Since the new owners took over, the hospital has been the subject of multiple regulatory actions and calls for the appointment of a state monitor by some members of the Legislature and the union representing workers.
