Ratification Meetings Set for July 7th

After three contract extensions and the involvement of a Federal mediator, we have reached tentative agreements with Inspira’s management on a new contract that would cover all 1,300 nurses in the system. If our membership votes yes to ratify these Agreements, nurses at Inspira hospitals in Vineland, Elmer and Bridgeton organized with HPAE Local 5131 and nurses at Woodbury hospital organized with HPAE Local 5621 will be covered under new agreements.

“This agreement addresses our priority to retain and recruit qualified nurses at the bedside so we can provide the best care for our patients and our community,” said Dana Barrett, RN and HPAE Local 5131 President, representing nurses at Vineland, Elmer and Bridgeton hospitals.

Details of the agreements will not be released until both of our locals hold ratification meetings, which will take place July 7th.

“Although these negotiations were challenging, we are pleased that we were able to come to an agreement that protects our security as nurses and our commitment to provide the best care possible for our patients,” says Richard Wear and HPAE Local 5621 President, representing nurses at Inspira-Woodbury.

The bargaining committee will strongly recommend ratification to our membership. If approved, the contract will go into effect immediately.

This would not have been possible without the strength of our membership coming together and speaking as one unified voice. We need every member to attend our upcoming meetings for a ratification vote.
