HPAE Local 5135 and 5089 Alert: No Seven Day Stretches

As you know, we have been working with Rutgers in an effort to resolve the outstanding issues related to the payroll migration. You have received information from both HPAE and the University regarding these changes.

We are very pleased to say that we have a resolution to the issues surrounding the 24 hour nursing programs. Programs that require an alternate weekend rotation will remain on the Sunday to Saturday work week eliminating the need for a 7 day stretch with no overtime as previously proposed by management. Notifications will be going out from Rutgers explaining this resolution and no one should be approached by management to complete a 7 day stretch schedule.

There are still other issues we are attempting to sort out regarding this change in payroll. We will keep you posted as soon as we have more information or a resolution to any of them.
