EHMC Mandating Shift Changes

This is Alice Barden, President of HPAE Local 5004 with an important message for the membership.

I am aware that many of you have received calls and messages from your managers that you will not be allowed to work your regular shifts and that you will be disciplined if you do not comply with the new schedule. Yes, management can discipline you. However, if you cannot work the new schedule, HPAE will stand behind you and fight for you. We cannot allow management to railroad us in the name of a global health crisis. Yes, our patients matter but so do we. We must take a stand together and fight for what is right and send a strong and needed message to hospital management that they can’t just do whatever they want to us. They need nurses. It would be illogical to send any nurse home at this point in time. United we stand strong, divided we fall. The choice is yours!
