Update on our contract negotiations 6/11/2020
After a slow negotiation process, we put in our ten day notice for an informational picket in front of the hospital on Monday June 22nd from 7:30am to 9:30am and 5:00 pm to 8:00pm. We need every nurse, your family members, friends, and neighbors who are concerned about a fair living wage, safety for our patients and members, safe staffing, maintaining our floating language, and having the right member of staff fill their appropriate role participating in the picket. We’re going to make noise and show HMH our frustration with how we’ve been treated since last April.
We negotiate again tomorrow, with our contract expiring this Monday, June 15th at 7am, and we have scheduled three additional days of negotiations for the end of next week. Follow the link for information about Working Without A Contract. If you have questions about the process or the picket, we encourage you to participate in our general membership teleconference meeting on Tuesday June 16th at 8am, 4pm, and 8pm. An email with the RSVP will be sent shortly.
