Important COVID Vaccine Mandate Update

University Hospital’s mandate for all staff to get the Covid vaccine goes into effect on August 2nd and is fast approaching. While HPAE continues to bargain with the Hospital regarding the impact of this mandate on our membership, it is imperative that our members either schedule their vaccination appointment or apply for either a religious or medical exemption.

Please remember that if you are applying for religious exemption to return the completed forms to Human Resources for their review. On the other hand, if you are applying for a medical exemption, the forms must be returned to the Chief Medical Officer’s office for approval. To avoid any delays, we encourage members seeking an exemption to ensure that their forms are completed properly.
