Local 5106 Member Update, February 18, 2022
On behalf of myself and Local Executive Board of Local 5106 would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff on C5 here at Episcopal Campus for their quick thinking and Heroic response to administer life-saving efforts to resuscitate a patient. Your commitment to patient care and adherence to emergency protocol ultimately saved that patient’s life. Job well done guys.
We must remain vigilant in our duties and continue to provide the utmost in patient care. The action plans that were implemented on the Behavioral Health Floors should continue to be followed. All patient’s doors are to remain open at all times. Personnel posted in the hallway shall remain on post until properly relieved for lunch and breaks. Nurses should be visible in the halls more frequently and not in the Nurse’s station. Mask wearing in all departments on Episcopal Campus is still in effect and all members must be in compliance with that policy. Temple University Health Systems as well as Episcopal Campus are still operating on a provisional license. It is imperative that we continue to perform our duties to the best of our abilities as we have always done. With our cooperation, dedication and commitment to excellence I am confident that the provisional license will be rescinded.
In solidarity,
Chris Lewis, President, Local 5106
