Local 5030 Radiology Update on Wage Reopener

As you are aware HPAE agreed to meet with HMH to bargain over labor market rate adjustments for all members in radiology. HMH and HPAE agreed to August 8 & 10 to bargain over these labor market rate adjustments. The day before negotiations were to start HMH canceled. Since that time your local leadership has been asking for additional dates on a daily basis to no avail. The local leadership has offered every day of the month to meet with HMH. We finally have confirmation from HMH!

HMH has confirmed that they will meet with us on September 14 and 19 to negotiate market rate adjustments for radiology. It is our hope that they will come to the table prepared to negotiate wages that will not only help retain employees but to help recruit new employees to address the chronic short staffing in this unit. The Union will also be asking for retro pay since HMH is the party that canceled and HPAE was prepared to meet everyday of the month of August.

We will keep you updated after each bargaining session and when we reach an agreement we will hold a unit meeting to give you the details of what we accomplished.
