Notice of 2019 Nominations and Election of HPAE Local 5094 Officers and Union Representatives
The Nominations and Election Committee announces that there are seven local officer positions and 65 representative positions that are up for election this year. Job descriptions can be found in Local 5094 Constitution and By-Laws at https://www.hpae.org/resources/local-5094-constitution-and-bylaws/.
The nomination committee is currently accepting nominations for these positions:
Positions:
- Two (2) Co-presidents
- Two (2) Co-secretaries
- One (1) Treasurer
- Two (2) Grievance Chairpersons
- Sixty-five (65) Representatives: Five (5) Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Fifty (50) Rutgers University and Ten (10) University Hospital
TERM OF OFFICE: September 1, 2019 through August 31, 2021
NOMINATIONS PROCEDURE
Officers and Representatives: Attached you will find a copy of the Nomination Declaration Form. This form must be complete, including the nominee’s printed name and signature, to be valid. You may submit your own name or that of a fellow union member for a particular position.
Return the completed nomination form to HPAE Local 5094 Nominations/Elections, PO Box 119, Emerson, New Jersey, 07630. The Union office phone number is (800) 801-5005.

ELIGIBILITY
Any HPAE Local 5094 member in good standing is eligible to run for office. All Elected Candidates must attend the September 10th, 2019 HPAE Officer Training.
NOMINATIONS DEADLINE
Nominations must be received by June 27, 2019. 12:00 p.m. A confirmation of your nomination will be sent. Please notify the Union Office if you do not receive one by June 30, 2019 at 12:00 p.m.
OFFICER CAMPAIGN STATEMENTS
Nominees for officer may provide a campaign statement but must be done so by July 1. The campaign statements will be placed on the local’s website. Statements should be 500 words or less and provided in electronic form to Jeffrey Ball, jball@hpae.org, (201) 262-5005, confirmation of receipt will be sent. Please notify the Union office if you do not receive one.
ELECTION
Ballots Mailed Out: July 12 at the latest. Candidates may be present for the mailing of the ballots. Please advise the committee if you wish to be present at the mailing of the ballots when you accept your nomination. If it is an uncontested election, the committee will cast one ballot on behalf of the slate in which case no ballots will be sent.
