Watch President Debbie White’s interview on Jersey Matters about University Hospital’s future

HPAE President, Debbie White, spoke with Larry Mendte on Jersey Matters to talk about the need to invest in NJ’s only public hospital, University Hospital, a level one trauma center and safety net in Newark. Under the Christie Administration, University Hospital became a stand alone facility with a commitment from lawmakers that they will continue to fully invest in its future. That commitment was not met by the Christie administration.

In 2019 under the Murphy Administration, HPAE nurses and health professional are witnessing a new day with new leadership at their hospital.  HPAE is working with the current administration to carry out a new strategic plan. Nurses and health professionals on the frontlines will hold them to this promise as we move forward to revitalize NJ’s only public healthcare institution.
