Virtua Profile: David Pugh

I have been an Emergency Services worker for 16 years, including the last 14 years at Virtua Health. I am a husband and father of two children. Before I became a paramedic, I was a firefighter so I have been involved in emergency service and taking care of the community my whole life.

Why organize?

To have representation and provide for a safe workplace.

Why should Burlington and Camden counties care about you organizing?

Organizing will allow us to provide better and more consistent care to the people of our communities that we serve while protecting our rights as health care workers.

What would being respected on the job look like?

Having my concerns about the workplace taken seriously and having management interact with me respectfully and honestly as a person and not someone to boss around.
