HPAE congratulates Newark Mayor Baraka on his re-election

Emerson, NJ—HPAE members congratulate Ras Baraka on his re-election as mayor of the great city of Newark.

Mayor Baraka has been a friend and partner in the struggle to empower healthcare workers, especially at Newark’s University Hospital. HPAE members at the hospital and the Newark campus of Rutgers know they have a sympathetic ear in the Mayor’s Office; someone who understands the various issues they contend with in the workplace. It’s a rare public official who understands workplace violence and the staffing crisis in our healthcare facilities the way Mayor Baraka innately does.
