Happy Nurses’ Week

The HPAE Local Executive Board would like to thank you in honor of Nurses’ Week because nurses are the heart of patient care. We understand that you show up every day to provide excellent care to our patients in spite of the many challenges that we face while working in the Hospital. Please know that we, as members of the Local Executive Board, are here to support you every single day and are so proud to work side by side with you as a registered nurse.

Also, we are still fighting for a fair contract as we have advised management that we demand to receive a decent wage increase. We have made some progress on the non-economic issues however we are also holding out for some security in the event that the County tries to sell the Hospital as they tried in 2015. Stay tuned for more information as to the progress of negotiations as it is important that we stand together in this fight.
