Local 5147 Negotiations Update, January 18, 2024

Today, January 18, we met with management for another full day of bargaining for our new contract. We agreed on a few non-economic items.

We spent a lot of time working on and discussing our staffing proposal. In the end, we presented management with a comprehensive counter on staffing that (we believe) addresses concerns from both sides. Management has yet to respond. Management did NOT provide an economic counter today. Instead management reiterated their desire to not give anyone an increase in the first year if they have received a market adjustment in the last year.

We booked two more sessions – so we now have three remaining.

Our next session is Tuesday, January 23rd. As always, we will keep you posted on our progress.
