Local 5118 May 31 Negotiations Update and Tentative Agreements

On May 31st we reached a Tentative Agreement with Cooper. This means we will decide next Tuesday and Wednesday if we accept the agreement. If we vote yes, we will have a new union contract in place. If the tentative agreement is voted down and Cooper refuses to have further discussion, a strike is imminent.

Attached are the Tentative Agreements we reached on May 31. All of the new TA’s are what we negotiated which becomes our new union contract. The rates for the Pool, Baylor and Float Nurse Wage Scale (Article 23.6) will be listed for each year in the contract. The TA shows the 4% increase for each year of the contract. We will have the rates printed out shortly.

CAST YOUR VOTE ON EITHER:
TUESDAY, JUNE 4. MEETINGS 8AM, 1:00PM, 5:30PM OR 8:00PM.
WEDNESDAY JUNE 5. VOTING IS OPEN FROM 6:15AM – 8:00PM
Location: Double Tree by Hilton Cherry Hill Philadelphia

We want to take this opportunity to Thank everyone who came out to our negotiations and who participated in the many other concerted actions that we did throughout our contract campaign. There is one more action and that is to VOTE.

Tentative Agreements for May 31:

The outcome of the Vote is determined by the number of nurses who cast a vote. Example: If 300 nurses vote and the count is 200 yes and 100 no, the contract is ratified.

See you next week!

In Solidarity –
