University Hospital Staffing Committee Volunteer Form

Your new Union contract includes safe staffing guidelines and a provision for the creation of a Staffing Committee, where representatives of both the Union and University Hospital will discuss issues related to staffing and monitor safe staffing guidelines.  The Union is looking for RN’s who would like to join the Staffing Committee.

Your responsibilities would include examining the data provided by the hospital and the Union (acuity data, bed capacity, schedules, vacancies, short staffing forms, etc. ) and holding the hospital accountable if the staffing guidelines are not met. You would get paid time off to participate in the Staffing Committee meetings.
