Cornerstone Behavioral Health Hospital nurses have won vastly improved wages and working conditions in a new contract that should go a long way toward helping the hospital in Berkeley Heights, Union County recruit and retain nurses.

Local 5112 contract update: settlement reached!
The HPAE Local 5112 Executive Board is pleased to announce that on December 29th we were able to reach a settlement with Union County just in time for the expiration of our contract on December 31, 2020.

Last August, 2018, President Priscilla Searles and members of Cornerstone HPAE Local 5112 complained to NJ Public Employee Occupational Safety and Health (PEOSH) about dangerous working conditions at the facility.

On October 31, 2018, the New Jersey Office of Public Employees’ Occupational Safety and Health (PEOSH) issued a citation against Cornerstone Behavioral Health Hospital resulting from a health and safety complaint filed by our union.
