AFT President Supports MNA Nurses Locked Out by Tufts Medical Center
Randi Weingarten, President of the 1.6 million member American Federation of Teachers (AFT), sent a strong message of support to the 1,200 nurses at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, who have been locked out by management after a one day strike to demand better staffing language in their contract. The nurses are represented by the Massachusetts Nurses Association.
