Bergen County Executive-elect Tedesco names deep, wide transition team
From The Record, November 14, 2014
Bergen County Executive-elect James Tedesco has tapped 80 people to serve on his transition team — the largest ever in a changeover of county administrations — as he prepares to take office in January.
“I am honored that they have agreed to serve and look forward to working with them to move Bergen County forward,” Tedesco said in a prepared statement. Tedesco, a Democrat freeholder and former Paramus mayor, defeated Republican incumbent Kathleen Donovan in the Nov. 4 election for county executive.
….Tedesco chose Joseph Sanzari, president of the Sanzari Companies, as chairman of a planning and economic development committee and Ann Twomey, president of the Health Professionals & Allied Employees, as chairwoman of a health services committee. Twomey’s union endorsed Tedesco, who has vowed that the county-owned Bergen Regional Medical Center will not be sold.
