Today(5/21), we had our 11th negotiation session. We worked for most of the morning to provide management with an updated counter on our complete economic package. Management had no response.
Despite only offering a $1.75/hour raise, they came to us and rejected almost ALL of our other outstanding economics ... It appears that management is not taking this a seriously as we would have expected given the situation.
Earlier this week, hundreds of our coworkers showed a historical level of support for the idea of a potential strike at Palisades Medical Center. Well over half of the local came out to vote, and well over 90% of those
Today management finally responded to our J1 (staffing numbers). We had several questions for management on their counteroffer – which neither the CNO nor any of the other management team were prepared or able to answer.
It was a long day of voting, and our members turned out in force. The end result: our members overwhelmingly vote to support a job action or strike if necessary.
