This legislation would enhance public sector unions' right to information under the WDEA (The Workplace Democracy Enhancement Act) and give public sector workers the same rights and protections as workers in the private sector.
Both parties went back to the table over the last week. We were able to bargain some improvements in the economic package. Please plan to attend one of the Union presentations of the tentative agreement on June 28th.
We held a joint meeting with Rowan administration and CWA last week to discuss Juneteenth, evolving plans to reopen the campus, and vaccines. We wanted to give you some updates from that meeting.

We are pushing forward with negotiations with the hospital. We have now put forth all of our proposals, including increased better staffing language, increased PTO, and many other changes that are deeply important for us and the for the future
Members of our local voted yesterday to reject the tentative agreement and to go on strike. At tomorrow's meeting, your local leaders will discuss what are next steps and how we can prepare for a strike.
This is your opportunity to voice your opinion on the direction of the negotiation team and the future of YOUR contract. Full explanation of the Union’s and the Medical Center’s proposals will be presented.
It may seem hard to believe but negotiations are quickly approaching. Our contract is due to expire in May of 2022. Typically we start negotiations with the hospital around the end of March of 2022.
To date, we have had seven bargaining sessions with management. We have not received any economic proposals from management to date, but the hospital is mentioning once again increasing the cost of health insurance.
