No Kings Protests, Saturday, 3/28; NJ Budget Rally, Monday, 3/30 at 09:30 AM in Newark (NJIT)
Join Union Leaders and Community Members at a No Kings Rally on Saturday!

This Saturday, people across the country will come together to make one thing clear: In America, there are no kings.
Right now, we are at an inflection point. Families are struggling to afford the basics. Communities are living in fear. Our members and supporters see it every day in our schools, hospitals and public institutions, and we cannot stay silent because we know what’s at stake.
History shows that when people come together in sustained, peaceful action, change is inevitable. That’s what “No Kings” is about: people standing up for democracy, for their communities and for a better future.
On Saturday, March 28, we will take action together. Join your Local 5094 leadership in Newark or Highland Park, or HPAE President Debbie White in Glassboro this weekend, details in the above graphic. If you prefer to attend in a different location/closer to home, please take pictures and share them with us on Instagram or Facebook (@hpaelocal5094).
New Jersey Budget Rally on Monday in Newark: Protect Families, Tax Billionaires

It’s time to say NO to the continuously rising costs of everyday living! From groceries to gas to housing to health insurance premiums, we, the working people of New Jersey, have been paying more than we ever have before, just to survive.
We are the 99% and we need to stand up to the 1%!
New Jersey has a 60 billion dollar budget they want to pass, and it should reflect what the working people of New Jersey want and need, not the desires of wealthy elites and politicians. It is time to remind these legislators who they work for! Right now, the proposed budget (which can be found at the NJ Office of Management and Budget website), contains a 25% cut to University Behavioral Health Care, which will result in layoffs, as well as further cuts to the Rutgers Cancer Institute, and legal assistance for low-income residents, just to name a few. It also fails to fund University Hospital at a level required to fund its significant infrastructure needs.
Join us outside the Senate budget public hearing at NJIT on Monday, March 30 at 9:30 AM on the NJIT Campus Green in Newark, located behind the Student Center at 150 Bleecker St.
