Phoenix Members: When We Stand Together, We Win!
Our Brothers and Sisters in 1199SEIU (the CNAs, Dietary, and Maintenance workers at Phoenix) have gone over a year without a new union contract. Management has been refusing to meet with them just likely they’re refusing to meet with us.
If 1199SEIU can’t get a fair contract by April, they will be taking a strike vote alongside us. If we can’t get a fair contract by the time our Contract expires, we will pick a joint strike date to strike together to protest Management’s illegal behavior.
To show management we’re in this together, HPAE and 119SEIU members will be wearing “PROTECT US, RESPECT US, SUPPORT US” buttons tomorrow (3/17/2026). Reps will be passing out buttons at the beginning of each shift. At the end of your shift, make sure the next shift has them.
We’re a united front for fair wages, safe staffing, and better benefits!
Sign up to attend a Strike School session March 23rd. You will learn Why we’re in this situation, What your legal rights are, How you can have a say, and What you can do to be prepared.
All sessions will be at the conference room at the Holiday Inn Express in Wanaque (Haskell)303 Union Ave, Haskell, NJ 07420.

If you have not already, please add your name to our letter to Management telling them we’ll do whatever it takes to win a Fair Contract!
