Retiree Medical Trust Contributions
We are pleased to announce that on March 20th, members of Local 5142 Inspira Mannington will join our Local 5621 and Local 5131 colleagues in contributing to the HPAE Retiree-Medical Trust.
Trust contributions are at the rate of 20 cents ($0.20) per hour, working out to about $16 per pay period for full-time nurses. You will see the deductions show up in your pay stubs as “5142 union VEBA.”
As a reminder, the Trust is a way for each and every one of us to save up for medical expenses in retirement in a tax-sheltered account. This money will continue to accrue without interruption if you go to work for any other acute care hospital where nurses are represented by HPAE.
