Phoenix Center Bargaining Update: Our First Session!
Today (4/13) was our first Bargaining Session with Management.
After months of pressure for Phoenix to meet with us, fifteen Union Nurses showed up to deliver our petition.
We presented our initial proposals for Fair Wages, Safe Staffing, and Better Benefits.
After an hour, Management came back, rejected all but one of our non-economic proposals (proposals that don’t cost money) promised us responses on our economic proposals at our next session, and told us that ALL our proposals were “unreasonable.”
They STILL haven’t given us the information we need to negotiate on an equal playing field.
