Phoenix Center Important Union Negotiations Update, April 30, 2026
Our next Bargaining Session with Management is Monday, May 4 at 10:00 AM. Be sure to attend to show we’re STRONG and UNITED for Fair Pay, Safe Staffing, and Better Benefits for ALL. Internally, we will also discuss Management’s violations of the law and Strike Logistics. Please be careful not to attend on work time.

Our Contract expires Midnight on April 30th.
What does this mean?
- Our contract is still in force – Management is held to “status quo” for all wages, hours, benefits, etc and can’t change them unless we specifically agree (usually through a new contract).
- All ‘waivers,’ like our No-Strike Agreement, expire unless we specifically agree to extend them.
Will we be on strike on May 1? NO – Union members must first vote to authorize the Bargaining Team to call a strike, and we must give 10 days’ notice to Management. That has not happened yet.
We all hope to resolve our issues through negotiation and win a fair contract – however, Management’s continued lawbreaking may make a strike necessary.
What can I do?
Show up to Bargaining on May 4 and May 11!
