HPAE 5089 AFT Delegate Election Update

Nominations for the Local 5089 AFT Convention Delegates officially closed on April 27, 2026. Following the close of the nomination period, the local has received four (4) nominations.

Local 5089 has determined it will be sending six (6) delegates to the convention. Under the HPAE Delegate Election Rules, an election is not necessary when the number of candidates does not exceed the number of available positions.

Accordingly, the following individuals will serve as the Local 5089 delegates:

  • Stella Odefemi (Nominee)
  • Dominick Deteno (Nominee)
  • Ivan Bangug (Nominee)
  • Sabrina Brown-Oliver (Nominee)
  • Banita Herndon (Elected Officer)
  • Wendy Bobcombe (Elected Officer)
