HPAE 5089 Rutgers Bargaining Update and Upcoming Union Events, May 29, 2026

We just finished our 6th bargaining session with management. We have made very little progress. Management has provided no responses to any of our economic proposals.

There is no sense of urgency from the University – even though we are just over thirty days from contract expiration. Without a new contract, there will be no raises coming July 1st. We need to put pressure on the University to get serious about negotiating a fair contract. Here is how we do that:

  1. Show unity by wearing union t-shirts and taking photos
  2. Sign the petition in support of bargaining – talk to a union rep or building captain to sign it!
