The state is changing FSA vendors from Further to WEX. What does this mean?
Members who participate in the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) program will have a new service provider, beginning July 1, 2026. Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield will change from Horizon My Way to WEX.
New Visa debit card(s) will be mailed sometime in June 2026. This card will be effective for use beginning July 1, 2026, and will be valid for three (3) years. Your existing card(s) will be deactivated as of June 8, 2026.
From June 8 to June 30, 2026, there will be a blackout of all FSA reimbursements. FSA will continue to be deducted biweekly, as Horizon will remain your FSA administrator. Claims will not be processed during this period; you will need to use another form of payment. If you are using your FSA card to pay for purchases through websites (such as OptumRX), you will need to update your form of payment to avoid delays. Also, during this period, the Horizon MyWay App will be accessible only in view-only mode. You may use your same username and password to access.
Starting July 1, 2026, please log into your account to make any necessary updates. You may also submit new claims at this time. This includes FSA-qualified expenses incurred during the blackout period (June 8-30, 2026), so be sure to save all receipts and documentation to file claims. New claim forms will be available on the website.
You may email these claims to: [email protected].
Or send by mail to: Horizon MyWay
