Local 5105 Bargaining Update: No Agreement Reached

After an incredibly frustrating 16 hours of bargaining, we still do not have an agreement on a contract. Virtua has decided that they’d rather spend millions to bring in scabs than invest that money into their own nurses. The federal mediator was present and could call us back to the table before our strike begins at 7am next Tuesday, but we currently have no scheduled bargaining dates.

Let’s continue to show the hospital that we are willing to fight for a contract that includes enforceable nurse to patient ratios, substantially better pay, reduces the financial hardship caused by HET, and addresses health and safety. It’s time for Virtua to get it done!!!
