HPAE 5089 Rutgers General Membership Meetings and Union Petition

We have just completed our 13th bargaining session, and the momentum is building.

This session was productive, and Rutgers has committed to beginning discussions on our economic proposals in October. However, we remain far from reaching any agreement that addresses the priorities and concerns of our nurses.

Rutgers has reiterated their refusal to negotiate language establishing a staffing council and addressing the use of agency nurses as an alternative to hiring and retaining permanent staff.

Our bargaining team has been clear: safe staffing, meaningful raises, and job security are among the top priorities of our nurses. These issues directly affect our working conditions, our ability to provide safe and effective care, and the patients who depend on us every day.

Rutgers needs to hear from us—loudly, clearly, and collectively.

Now is the time to stand together and support your bargaining team. Right now, we are asking our members to do two things:
