Local 5094 Rutgers Bargaining Update, August 31, 2026
It’s September and the students are back. Unfortunately, our raises are not!
Management continues to stonewall us at the bargaining table when we ask to address our wage proposals. In addition, they suggest that they are not taking us seriously—for example, by not reading our proposals in the weeks between bargaining sessions. They continue to insist that our contract is fine as is, and that no changes are needed.
What can we do to tell management that this is Not Okay and we need our money NOW?
