Tell your state legislators to vote yes on S.4395/A.5185 to give the Department of Health more tools to hold healthcare corporations accountable when they break the law: https://actionnetwork.org/letters/demand-stronger-oversight-of-njs-healthcare-facilities this HPAE-Supported legislation will:

• Increase financial penalties when facilities violate healthcare operating standards,
• Ban “sale-leaseback” arrangements (selling the land under a healthcare facility to a third party who then charges the facility rent)
• Allow the DoH to appoint a receiver if the current operator is putting patient care at risk by unlawfully reducing services or closing a facility.
