Intradepartmental Status Change
HPAE was recently advised by management that effective February 24th, the Hospital will begin converting .9 staff nurse positions to 1.0 positions as they become vacant.
Local 5131 Officer Nominations are now being accepted
The Nominations/Election Committee announces that there are six Local 5131 officer positions that are up for election this year. Nominations for these positions are currently being accepted by the nomination committee.

United Statement from HPAE Local Presidents in response to HMH “Harmonization” initiatives for 2020
As union members and employees at HMH, we are glad to see that HMH finally recognizes their employees are not compensated properly for their value and experience when it comes to those delivering patient care at HMH facilities.
Our Contract has been Ratified!
On Monday, January 27, 2020, the tentative agreement reached between the HPAE Local 5094 Negotiation Committee and UH was ratified by an overwhelming majority of members.
HPAE Local 5094 Special Election Results
The Local 5094 Nomination and Election Committee has completed Local 5094 Special Officer Elections. The election was uncontested and the committee cast one vote on behalf of the candidate.
Twelve hour shift MOA ratified
HPAE Local 5030 RNs on 3E, 4th,5th floors and ICU voted 74% to 26% on a MOA implementing 12 hours shifts on these units.
Local 5142 Bargaining Update & Membership Meeting Announcement, January 27
Our local Bargaining Committee has continued to meet with the hospital to discuss our proposals, and are expecting to get management proposals next week.
