Today, April 15th, marked our 12th bargaining session with Hackensack Meridian, and our team has remained focused on staffing ratios and better wages.
One thousand ninety-four RNs from across the Inspira network have signed the petition for a fair contract!
We met for our first bargaining session with Bergen New Bridge on April 9, we want to extend a big thank you to all the members that showed up to present the petition to management this morning!
We have been in negotiations with HMH for 10 sessions. The only wage proposal we have received to date from HMH is an up to 1% merit increase on the performance eval scale, (1%!!) which is completely unacceptable.
Management violated our contract by paying some per-diems above our contractual rates. Our Union's position is that if they can afford to give SOME members an extra raise, they must be able to afford a raise for ALL.
Caren McCain, RN, was fired from University Hospital without Just Cause in February 2025.

As per the side letter in your union contract, HMH has announced that the incentive bonus for 2024 will be paid on April 11th. You must meet the criteria below to be eligible.
On March 27, 2025, we had another day of negotiations with HMH (with seven additional planned days to meet at the table).
The time has finally arrived for us to begin bargaining our next union contract with Inspira. Our first day in negotiations will be Thursday, April 10th, 2025.
