We will be holding a ratification meeting this Sunday at 5:30pm at VFW Post 2445: 914 E Main St, Maple Shade, NJ 08052. We will open voting after the meeting and close it at 8pm.
Following the 8/24/22 bargaining session where Rutgers Administration stormed out of the session, we met again on 9/8/22 and finally received some of the information we requested 6 months ago, and an initial counter on our wage proposal.
The Nominations/Election Committee announces that there are three Local 5138 officer positions that are up for election this year. Nominations for these positions are currently being accepted by the nomination committee.
We continue to wait for a complete proposal on wages, despite the hospital making over a billion dollars in profits during the past two years on the backs of our hard work
We are happy to announce that because of the solidarity we have shown through petitions and other actions, we’ve been able to come to an agreement with the Hospital on a one year contract extension.
Your health insurance costs are going up unless we act together to stop it. We call on all HPAE negotiations unit employees to Call the Governor to say “No” to health insurance cost increases!!
We called for our membership to support the negotiations efforts and our membership came through at today’s session. We had over 70 people log into our caucus space and 40 were able to move to the Rutgers Zoom session.
