NJ Safe Patient Handling Conference, March 19
While NJ has a Safe Patient Handling law, it is our responsibility as caregivers to make sure that the law is enforced and implemented in every hospital. I want to make you aware that there is an opportunity for professionals to hear from experts and receive CE credits at the NJ Safe Patient Handling Conference on March 19th, at Rutgers University.
Throughout the day you will hear from health and safety experts, including professionals from OSHA, Rutgers and the NY State Zero Lift Task force, whose presentations will address best practices to improve patient outcomes and lower ergonomic injuries in healthcare facilities. Information to develop and support a fully functional safe lifting program will be provided.

If you are interested in attending, HPAE will pay for a limited number of members to register. Contact Barbara Rosen, HPAE First Vice President or speak with your HPAE Local President. I hope you will join us.
