On Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday this week, we continued meeting with management to review and negotiate proposals. We remain committed to advancing the issues that matter most to our membership.
There were tentative agreements reached related to childcare and improved bereavement language.

HMH presented “responses” to all 49 union proposals. They agreed to one so far. Unfortunately, for a significant number of our proposals, their response was either to reject them or to say that they want to hold off on discussing
Your bargaining team came to the table strong, presenting 49 union proposals on behalf of the 1,700 dedicated nurses at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
The Nominations/Election Committee announces that there are eight officer positions that are up for election this year.
This workshop will provide an overview of patient rights concerning medical debt and paid leave in New Jersey. Participants will gain knowledge to effectively navigate and advocate available benefits for their patients and themselves.
You are an important part of the plan - the contract belongs to every member, and if we are going to negotiate a good contract, we need to know what issues matter most to you.
The day will include a program with CEUs, so it is eligible for a paid conference day for full and part timers under our contract.
The Occupational Liability Insurance Plan (the Plan) provides AFT members broad protection for legal defense costs and court judgements.
