We are hoping that you have had a wonderful start to the New Year. This year will be particularly exciting as we are embarking on a new bargaining campaign with the current Union contract expiring in September 2024.
We hope you had a lovely holiday season and a happy new year. Since Wednesday 1/3/24, we have heard from several members across HPAE Locals 5094 and 5089 that their health insurance premiums increased drastically in the 1/5/24 paycheck.
Since our last update several weeks ago, HPAE Local 5089 Leadership and HPAE staff have continued to demand answers from Rutgers regarding the ongoing issues related to the retro payments...
Local 5089 office elections for President, six (6) Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, and two (2) Grievance Chairpersons. Since all the positions were uncontested, no ballots were mailed out.
The Nominations/Election Committee announces that there are eleven (11) local officer positions that are up for election this year as well as Representative positions.
We have communicated with many members individually, but we want to provide a summary of the actions we’ve taken as a union to push Rutgers to pay our membership every penny we are owed.
