Late last week nursing administration and human resources reached out to the Local Executive Board. They informed us that SIP was being extended through July 13, not a full six week schedule. We counter proposed with an extension for six
We are proud to announce that we ratified our new Union contract tonight. 92% of the nurses who came out to vote, voted YES, to ratify the contract.
On May 31st we reached a Tentative Agreement with Cooper. This means we will decide next Tuesday and Wednesday if we accept the agreement. If we vote yes, we will have a new union contract in place.
Just hours before the contract expiration, HPAE Local 5118 has reached a tentative agreement with Cooper University Health Care.
Today (5/30) we reached three tentative agreements...
During the morning session the hospital gave us the tentative agreements we discussed at our last session. We reviewed across the table which of our articles are still open and that we will give them a package proposal after lunch.
Nurses at Cooper University Health Care will go on strike if they cannot get nurse-to-patient ratios in their new contract, according to union leadership.
About 3,000 nurses have voted to authorize a strike at three New Jersey hospitals ... as they battle for mandatory staffing ratios to be placed in their contracts, union officials announced Tuesday.
HPAE members are in bargaining with three large health systems to negotiate enforceable staffing ratios into new contracts. Such ratios will improve working conditions, reduce workplace stress, and help in retention of staff.
