HPAE’s Professional Issues Conference Held in Trenton

HPAE members from across New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania came together last week for our 2017 Professional Issues Conference (PIC). In addition to a variety of informative workshops, we were joined by Assemblywoman Shelia Oliver, Democratic candidate for Lt. Governor, and NJ Senate candidate Vin Gopal.

President Twomey Testifies on Board of Nursing Crisis

HPAE President Ann Twomey testified before the NJ Senate Legislative Oversight Committee on October 5th and called on the state government to provide adequate resources to ensure that the Board of Nursing has the staff and Board members to properly oversee the licensing and professional standards of 140,000 RNs in New Jersey.

Register to Vote Before the October 17th Deadline

Election Day is less than a month away, and HPAE members in New Jersey need to make their voice heard. Therefore, we need everyone to make sure they are registered to vote. The deadline to do so is next Tuesday, October 17, 2017. You can check your voter registration status HERE or complete your voter registration form HERE.

The registration deadline in Pennsylvania was October 10th.
