SUMMARY OF EHMC PROPOSALS PRESENTED AT MEMBERSHIP MEETING MAY 18TH 2021
LANGUAGE MODIFICATIONS
-4.05 Casual Per Diems-
-if a casual per diem cancelled a scheduled shift, they will be considered absent for the purpose of the medical center enforcing Time and Attendance policy.
-6,09 Work Preference- the medical center wants the union to waive our bargaining unit rights to work preference over outside agency nurses in cases of posted vacancies, LOA, and/or orientation.
-6.10 Work Availability #4 Cancellation Notice- once scheduled, any cancellation by the nurse for overtime shift and/or extra shift will be considered an absence for the purpose of the medical center enforcing Time and Attendance policy,
-9.01 Leave of Absence – if after a 45 day unpaid leave and the nurses’ former position or a comparable position is not available, the nurse will be place in an unpaid leave without benefits.
-11.08 On-Call- Berrie Pre-Post on-call increased by two shifts 8P to 11P during every three week period. (2 RN’s)
-22 A Effective Date and Duration- medical center is proposing a three year contract.
-Schedule G-10 Hour Shifts-in the sole and exclusive discretion of the medical center, 10 hour positions can be posted in Berrie OR and/or Berrie Pre-Post.
SEPARATE PROPOSAL AGREEMENTS
-Medical Center proposed that HPAE waive our rights under the New Jersey Earned Sick Leave Law.(NJESL)
-Medical Center proposed, that upon ratification of an agreement, that HPAE withdraws any and all pending grievances, requests for arbitrations, and Unfair Labor Practice charges with prejudice. Legal definition for with prejudice is …a decision that does not allow for HPAE to pursue the matter or retry the case again. It is a final and binding agreement.
