Notice of 2021 Nominations and Election of Local 5004 HPAE Convention Delegates and Alternates

The Nominations/Election Committee announces that they are now accepting nominations to represent Local 5004 at this year’s HPAE State Convention.  An explanation of the convention can be found below and the procedure for nominations below that. You may nominate other local members as well as yourself.

HPAE State Convention

The Local is entitled to twenty-five (25) delegates and five (5) alternates based on their membership.  This year’s convention will be held  virtually, October 7, 2021.  Local 5004 Constitution and By-Laws states that all elected local officers are delegates to the convention.  There are three (3) elected officers, which mean that twenty-two (22) delegate positions and five (5) alternate positions are open for election.  All expenses are the responsibility of the delegate or alternate.  Some reimbursement from the Local maybe available. Any available money will be shared equally among delegates attending. The nomination/election committee is currently accepting nominations for these positions.

NOMINATIONS PROCEDURE:  Attached you will find a Nomination/Declaration Statement.  Return completed form directly to a committee member or to HPAE Local 5004 Nominations/Elections, PO Box 119, Emerson, New Jersey, 07630.  The members receiving the highest number of votes will become delegates and the next highest number will be alternates based on the number of positions allowed.

NOMINATIONS DEADLINE:  July 21, 2021

ELECTION DATE:  Ballots to be mailed to all members in July.  Candidates may be present for the mailing of the ballots.  Please advise the committee if you wish to be present at the mailing of the ballots. If it is an uncontested election, the committee will cast one ballot on behalf of the slate, in which case no ballots will be sent.

ELIGIBILITY:  Any HPAE Local 5004 member in good standing is eligible to run for delegate.
