Local 5058 Bargaining Update, August 11

In these negotiations with Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH), our message to the employer is Respect Us. Protect Us. Support Us.

Day Five: After five days of negotiations, we finally received a starting wage proposal from HMH that they acknowledge is not on par with other hospitals in the system. HMH still wants unlimited shift rotation and the ability to send you home after the start of your shift. All our proposals are currently on the table including wages, health and safety, and workplace violence.

As negotiations progress, we will continue to provide regular updates. Keep us informed by emailing local5058@hpae.org. Our strength at the table comes from all of us standing together to demand Respect, Protection and Support. Your voices are making a difference as we continue to negotiate in good faith with HMH.
