Local 5147 Negotiations Update, November 16, 2023

We met with management for the third full day of bargaining for our new contract. We presented management with several proposals on staffing issues (charge nurse assignments, conversion language to create more FT/PT positions) as well as some modifications of our proposal on terminal benefits. We also discussed the new health care plan, specifically around maternity issues – in an attempt to make sure new mothers do not get hit with huge bills.

Our next bargaining session is November 30th. In the midterm we will be having Zoom meetings to update all our members on our progress on Tuesday, November 28th at 5pm and 8pm. A link to this meeting will be sent to your email in a separate notice.
