Happy Holidays, Happy New Year, and many blessings to you and your loved ones. It is unbelievable how many activities, how many memories can be packed into a few days and then back to work as if they never happened.
Please note that your insurance coverage is now 100% fully active, retro to January 1st. If you have incurred any bills that the insurance should have covered, please bring them to Alyssa Perez in HR. She will file them with
Prior to the holiday, your union leadership met with hospital administration regarding our insurance benefits for the new year. Despite our binding contract, the administration is requesting to open it up to negotiate a new insurance plan.
HPAE Members at all the hospitals owned by Hudson Regional (Bayonne, Heights/Christ, and Secaucus) have taken on Management separately, but we know we're strongest when we stand together!
Members who have received bills such as for blood work, tests, etc. performed at HRH please make copies of your bills and get them to your union leaders or email them to [email protected] no later than Sunday November 9.
As some of you may have heard, Heights University Hospital is going through financial hardships that could lead to the facility closing, leaving over 300,000 residents of Jersey City being served only by Jersey City Medical Center.
Summer is on the way out with Labor Day just next week! All good things must come to an end, and with that we announce your new Union leadership.
It has come to our attention that members have been receiving bills, and when reaching out to management for reconciliation we are being told that some services are “sent out” and therefore are the staff’s responsibility.
The Nominations/Election Committee announces that there are six (6) officer positions that are up for election this year.

Bayonne Medical Center’s future should be in Hudson Regional Hospitals (HRH) hands, the State Health Planning Board affirmed in a vote Thursday, a win for community members and officials who advocated for the transition after years of uncertainty.
