Local 5091 December Bulletin #3

We started off the year with our new President and L.E.B. We want to thank all our members for helping in the transition and getting to know your officers. It’s been a challenging and exciting year with ups and downs. At the end of the day, we’ve come to the realization that this is your union, our union and together, we are stronger.

We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was able to attend membership meetings, HPAE lobby days and HPAE safe staffing rallies. Your presence made a difference. As you know, safe staffing continues to be a challenge throughout the state of New Jersey. We continue to urge you to visit the website to take actions by sending letters to Governor Murphy, Senate President Scutari and Assembly Speaker Coughlin urging them to take swift action to pass legislation that will not only recruit more healthcare workers into the profession but will also keep them from continuing to migrate out of healthcare. We also urge you to continue to fill out unsafe staffing forms which can be located on the HPAE website www.hpae.org.

We would like to thank everyone who managed to show up to the auditorium on December 18th. We were overwhelmed by the turnout, and we hope to have similar attendance for the upcoming 2024 membership meetings. For all those who were unable to attend, we are still giving out gifts. If you have not received your gift, please reach out to anyone on the executive board.

We look forward to an exciting new year where your ideas and contributions are greatly appreciated. We hope to work together for the betterment of local 5091 where everyone’s input is valued. Together we can accomplish the extraordinary.
