Local 5004 Negotiations Update, May 15, 2024

Yesterday (May 15) we had our 8th negotiation session. We waited all day for management to come and give us a response to our economic and staffing proposals. What we got was a single piece of paper with $1.75/hr. increase proposed for year one. No responses to our other economic proposals or our staffing. Obviously, we believe this is unacceptable.

If this is unacceptable to you, then make sure you come to the Strike Authorization Vote today (May 16) – there are set times for meetings, but someone will be there all day for you to cast your vote if necessary. We need every member to come and have their voice heard!

In addition, we have a legislative breakfast coming up on 5/22. This is a chance for our members to voice their concerns to local politicians. Keep your eye out for the RSVP form.

Our next bargaining session is set for Friday, May 17th. We will keep the membership updated as negotiations proceed.
