Local 5138 Negotiation Update, February 10, 2025

Our HPAE 5138 union contract expires on April 30, 2025. On February 10, 2025, we met with Hackensack Meridian Health for our first negotiation session at the Hilton Garden Inn, Lakewood, NJ. Our dedicated HPAE negotiation team presented significant proposals addressing wages, health and safety, and staffing. Other proposals put forward are increases in preceptor pay, charge pay, float, per diem pay, among others. We made staffing a major priority especially considering management’s response to our demand for on call pay and extra shift pay.
